Internship in Digital Humanities Project at the University of Vienna, Programming in JAVA and Angular

An FWF-funded project for the creation of a digital edition is looking for a programmer for an archive and edition management system at the University of Vienna (Institute Vienna Circle). Full Stack Development in JAVA and Angular. Payment per work contract (you need to pay for taxes and social security by yourself). Depending on previous knowledge the full time salary (40hrs per week) is 3,500 to 5,000 Euro per month. Time arrangement per agreement. Total scope of the project approx. 4-5 months on a full-time basis. Work in home office possible. What you will do: Extension of an archiving software with edition functionalities. What we expect: Good Java skills and basic knowledge of Angular/Typescript. Motivation to learn new technologies and to actively participate in design and planning. Ideally completed or active studies in the field of software development. What you can expect: Independent work on home office basis, in cooperation with the pro-ject leader and the programmer of the initial version of the software; intense work during the summer break, flexible working hours during the semester. Agil development process. State of the art technology stack including Spring Boot, Hibernate, PostgreSQL, REST/OpenAPI, Angular.
