Dear Carnap‚

Your card of December 18 is before me.

We have no copy of the suggestions for changes so please ‘register‘ back the pages on which any marks have been made.

Now comes a copy of the letter sent to you by London UniversityIUniversität London about the thirty pounds named by me to them as the probable loss. That is good news; but you will see that Regulation number 7 makes it necessary to say in the book that help has been given by the University.

My suggestion for this is the addition of these words at the end of the first ‘paragraph‘ of your Preface: –ksl.

“; and the present publication has been aided by a grant from the Publication Fund of the University of LondonIUniversität London, for which I desire to express my thanks.“ 🕮

If you are in agreement with this, I will make the addition on the pages.
