\haupttext{1. I have received your letter of May\,27. In the meantime I have come to a full agreement with \uline{Springer}\IN{\springerjulius} about
the ``\uline{Syntax}``\IC{\logischesyntax}. I am sorry, I could not do otherwise but promise him to insert the condition in the agreement
which I will make with you that you are obliged not to publish the English book\IC{\logischesyntaxenglisch} before April\,1, 1935. This condition is
very unpleasing for myself also, but it was unavoidable. I had hoped before that the English book\IC{\logischesyntaxenglisch} could appear perhaps in
January or February 1935. (Your plan as to Oct. 1934 would in any case be impracticable, I think; because the printing of
the German book has taken 5 months, and the translation will certainly also take several months, because of the special
difficulties and the necessity of much correspondence.) -- The printing of the German book\IC{\logischesyntax} has been delayed a little. I
think it will appear in 2 or 3 weeks. -- The Countess of Zeppelin\IN{\zeppelin} wrote me some days ago that she is still in Vienna and
will soon have time to begin with the translation.

2. The information about ``usual fee`` came from Springer\IN{\springerjulius}. You might be right that the amount stated by him is
exaggerated. -- I see from your letter that the manner of payment which I proposed seems to you not
impossible. Indeed I would prefer it in spite of the possibility of only small results as you have calculated. If you
accept my proposal I consent to any number of copies which seems to you convenient. -- Now I am looking forward to
your proposal of an agreement.

3. Would you perhaps be so kind as to send the enclosed order with 4 sh \blockade{Shilling?} to the address given deducting this sum
from my fee for the ``Unity of Science``\IC{\unityofscience}? But if this fee should have been paid already (you will remember that I
requested you to send the money to a bank in London, not to Prague), I will arrange the payment for ``Analysis``\IW{}
otherwise. Very sincerely}
