Bertrand Russell an Rudolf Carnap, 26. April 1929 April 1929

Dear Dr. Carnap‚

Thank you very much indeed for sending me your “Abriß der Logistik nach dem System der Principia Mathematica”B1929@Abriß der Logistik. Mit besonderer Berücksichtigung der Relationstheorie und ihrer Anwendungen, Wien, 1929, which I have looked at though I have not yet had time to read it properly. Your book on the “Logical Structure of the World”B1928@Der logische Aufbau der Welt, Berlin-Schlachtensee, 1928 duly reached me; as I have been very much occupied with unphilosophical labours, I have not had time to read it as it deserves, but from looking into it, I feel inclined to suppose that its views are those which I ought to hold, in the sense that they are the logical working out of premises which I accept. As soon as I get the necessary leisure, I shall hope to study both books with care. I am grateful to you not only for sending me the books, but for what you are doing to make the logistic point of view known in Germany.

Yours very truly‚
Bertrand Russell
