I brought Dr Carnap’s letter before a Committee of the SyndicsI yesterday. The Syndics regret that they cannot see their way to arrange for the separate sale of the Preface to the new edition of PRINCIPIA MATHEMATICABRussell, Bertrand, und Alfred North Whitehead!1910@Principia Mathematica, Cambridge UK, 1910–1913, 2. Aufl., 1925–1927. If this practice were once begun, I am afraid it might have a serious effect upon the sales of the book itself.
